Yet another web geek acronym that gets in the way of understanding, SaaS standards for “Software as a Service.”

While the term is specifically describing a business model, “SaaS” is also used by digitalistas as a shortcut to describe software applications that are hosted in the cloud, as opposed to software you load on your computer.
